Suites, meeting rooms and banquet settings at one of Vienna’s most distinguished hotels, photographed through careful preparation and close collaboration with the team.
Hotel Imperial needed a fresh set of photographs covering its event spaces, banquet settings and selected suites. The rooms are richly detailed, and the challenge was to preserve their scale and atmosphere while giving equal attention to the tables, fabrics and arrangements prepared for each image.
I worked closely with Daniela and the hotel team, making small refinements where the camera required them. In one room, the tablecloths were refolded into cleaner, more architectural forms. Salon Imperial required a more technical approach: the dark wooden walls and ceiling were balanced against a much lighter table setting through bracketed exposures and separately lit frames. A detailed review with the hotel then resolved the remaining fabrics, screen branding and presentation details.
A complete suite and event-space image set, including 16 additional photographs purchased beyond the original package.
Hotel and Marriott channels, sales presentations, event marketing, OTAs and wider promotional use.
Three months after our scouting visit, the General Manager joined Daniela and the team to welcome us on the first morning of the shoot. It set the tone immediately: organised, professional and entirely appropriate to a hotel of this standing.
Good hotel photography is always collaborative. When the team is engaged and the preparation is thorough, decisions become easier and the finished photographs are stronger. Suzanne and I were made to feel part of that team from the beginning.
